Biography

Ivaldo Basso is a senior consultant to Jacmel providing guidance on regulatory and compliance diligence across the firm’s portfolio. He is recognized as a visionary in operational due diligence with over 28 years of experience across the financial services industry.
Ivaldo most recently served as Managing Director at GCM Grosvenor where he provided oversight to – and in many areas designed – the operational infrastructure including fund accounting, treasury, operational due diligence, client reporting, valuation and investment implementation. During his tenor at GCM Grosvenor he also held various roles including Chief Financial Officer, member of the Operations Committee, and Chairman of the Valuation Committee.  Prior to joining GCM Grosvenor, Ivaldo was a senior manager at Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen.
Ivaldo served as a guest lecturer on operational risk at The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law for 10 years. Ivaldo is a founding member and Co-Chairman of the United States Soccer Federation’s Development Council and the Chairman of Steel City Football Club.
