Biography

Mike is an experienced infrastructure and real estate investor with a focus on large-scale development projects. Mike is currently the founder and Managing Principal of Active Edge Capital Ventures, an investment, development, and advisory platform focused on real estate and commercial infrastructure projects. Previously, he was Global Head of Airports for Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, leading a 50-person team across six airports and the Oculus at World Trade Center. Under Mike’s leadership, URW won the rights to join two P3 consortia as the sole commercial developer for JFK Terminal 1 and Terminal 8 and executed two terminal-wide commercial development programs at LAX.  Mike also served as a Board Member of Servy, a mobile-ordering platform for airports. Prior to URW, Mike was the Chief Development Officer for Brightline Trains, a Fortress-backed high speed rail development company. At Brightline, he led 30-person development team and oversaw multi-billion-dollar infrastructure program including the Miami-Orlando and Las Vegas-Los Angeles corridors. Prior to Brightline, Mike joined and ultimately led the Americas Development team at Caesars Entertainment which executed more than $4 billion in hotel, gaming, retail and entertainment development over a ten-year period. Representative projects include the LINQ Promenade, the Octavius Tower at Caesars Palace, a three-casino joint venture in Ohio, along with the world’s tallest observation wheel. Mike earned an AB in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
